Anime film produced and distributed by Toei Animation, based on Akira Toriyama's gag manga 'Dr. Slump' serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Released July 10, 1982, 90 minutes long—the only full-length feature among Dr. Slump's 10 theatrical releases. Arale and her friends build the spaceship 'Slump-go' to rescue their teacher Midori Yamabuki, kidnapped to the distant planet Takeyaridake. Featuring original characters like Dr. Mashirito and elaborate mecha designs inspired by insects and cockroaches. Directed by Akinori Nagaoka with music by Shunsuke Kikuchi.
