One of the longest-running television adaptations of Fujiko Fujio (A)'s manga 'Ninja Hattori-kun,' which depicts the daily life of Kanzo Hattori, a small but earnest young ninja from the Iga clan who takes up residence with the family of ordinary fourth-grader Kenichi Mitsuba. Across roughly seven years and nearly seven hundred segments, the show interweaves ninja-gag comedy with warm family drama, featuring a rich supporting cast including Hattori's rival from the Koga clan Kemumaki, Kemumaki's cat-ninja Kagechiyo, Hattori's loyal canine partner Shishi-maru, and Hattori's earnest younger brother Shinzo. Beloved across multiple generations of Japanese children and successfully exported to India where the franchise inspired further co-produced sequel TV series, Ninja Hattori-kun remains one of the most representative anime adaptations of Fujiko Fujio (A)'s catalogue.
