A television anime produced by Tatsunoko Production and broadcast on Fuji Television. A sports-comedy adaptation of Noboru Rokuda's manga 'Dash Kappei,' originally serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday. The hero, Kappei Sakata, is a tiny elementary-school athletic prodigy whose absurd weakness for catching glimpses of beautiful women's thighs - most especially those of his glamorous new teacher Ms. Natsuki (Nakky-sensei) - repeatedly entangles him in slapstick chaos. Across each episode Kappei throws himself into a different sport - basketball, judo, swimming, soccer, gymnastics - turning every match into a high-velocity comedic showdown. Faithful to the spirit of Rokuda's raucous youth comedy, the show pairs energetic action with cheeky humor, and is fondly remembered for its bright opening 'Mitai Mono Mitai' and ending 'Seishun Dash!,' both sung by the duo KiKi.
