Eleven Cats

A theatrical anime produced by Group TAC, adapting the popular picture book published by Kogumasha and written by Noboru Baba, a children's fantasy work. Eleven hungry stray cats band together to catch a giant monster fish living in a lake. Their first attempt ends in a painful defeat, but they regroup with cleverness and finally succeed in capturing the fish by lulling it to sleep with a lullaby. On the way back, however, the cats cannot resist hunger and temptation and break their important promise not to eat it until they show it to their companions, a humorous and bittersweet outcome rendered with the warm touch of the picture book. A family-oriented short piece that lightly weaves the foolishness and charm of the group and a lesson about promises.
