A TV anime produced by Nippon Animation. Based on Spanish children's literature, it aired on Tokyo Channel 12 (now TV Tokyo) from April 2 to August 28, 1979. A gentle fantasy depicting, in warm tones, the bond between the boy Santi and Josephina, a large white imaginary whale only he can see. Lyrically portraying a child's imagination, friendship, parting, and growth, it became a work remembered for its emotional richness despite targeting younger viewers.
