The final work of the sequel series stemming from the baseball manga Star of the Giants (story by Ikki Kajiwara, art by Noboru Kawasaki), it aired in 23 episodes on the Yomiuri TV network from April 14 to September 29, 1979. Hyuma Hoshi, whose left arm has failed, attempts a comeback as a right-handed pitcher, devising new magic pitches to face rivals such as Mitsuru Hanagata and Hosaku Samon in a final showdown. The concluding chapter of the sports-drama landmark Star of the Giants, depicting the curtain call of Hyuma's baseball life and the settling of his rivalries.
