An action anime produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha, based on the manga by Monkey Punch. As the long-awaited sequel to the 1971 first series, this 155-episode three-year run became the longest installment in the Lupin III franchise. The series follows master thief Lupin III with partners Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko, pursued by Inspector Zenigata across the world. The iconic "red jacket Lupin" image was established here, with Yuji Ohno's jazzy theme song becoming a massive hit.
