A robot anime produced by Nippon Sunrise, based on the original work by Saburo Yatsude. The second entry in Tadao Nagahama's Roman Robot series, following "Combattler V." Against the horned aristocracy of planet Boazan that oppresses the hornless and now invades Earth, exiled Boazanian Dr. La Gor designs five Choudenji Machines that combine into Voltes V. Brothers Kenichi, Daijiro, and Hiyoshi Go, plus Megumi Oka and Ippei Mine, pilot the robot in search of their lost father. The series gained massive popularity in the Philippines, where a live-action remake was later produced. 40 episodes.
