A robot anime produced by Knack, based on the original work by Gosaku Ota with concept by Go Nagai. Young Joe Kabuki, driven from his homeland by the invading Gailer Empire, becomes pilot of the multi-purpose jet robot Groizer X, made of advanced super-alloy and capable of transforming for air, sea, and land. He battles Supreme Commander Schuler's invasion forces. The Nagai/Ota collaboration emphasizes aerial combat across 39 episodes.
