A dinosaur SF anime produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the first in the "Tsuburaya Dinosaur Trilogy." In 1996, the approach of Comet Erbie causes geological shifts that resurrect Mesozoic dinosaurs from a vast underground cavern. The Born Free Dinosaur Capture Squad uses the Triceratops-shaped Born Free vehicle and other specialized machines to safely contain the dinosaurs. The unique style combines miniature live-action tokusatsu for dinosaurs/mecha with cel animation for human characters across 25 episodes.
