The space child Chobin arrives on Earth from a distant planet and meets young girl Ruri-chan, defending Earth against the evil Black Demon gang. Driven from his home planet in search of his mother, Chobin's poignant journey through space and warm interactions with Earth's flora and fauna create a gentle story. Ishinomori's character design with girls-targeted appeal earned popularity. 26 episodes.
