A TV anime produced by Doeisha and The Moguras, based on Michael Ende's "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer" (1960). Baby Jim Button washes ashore in the port town of Lummerland, growing up to travel with engineer Lucas and locomotive Emma. Their adventures lead to the dragon land Mandala, encounters with half-dragon Nepomuk and sea princess Sourcil-Sourcil, and the unraveling of Jim's origins. The first Japanese anime adaptation of Ende's classic. 26 episodes.
