A spo-kon anime produced by Tokyo Movie and A Production, based on the manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Hiroshi Kaizuka in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Boy Tomoe Tosshinta inherits his late father's judo legacy, training at the town dojo and fighting destined rivals. Single-mother Ryuko raised him to pursue the top of judo. Kajiwara's passionate drama with A Production's dynamic combat animation continues the lineage of "Star of the Giants" and "Tomorrow's Joe." 27 episodes.
