A hero anime produced by Chijin Productions, based on the original work by Yasunori Kawauchi. The first anime adaptation of Kawauchi's "Gekkou Kamen" (Moonlight Mask), which had been a 1958 live-action TV phenomenon. The mysterious hero in white cape, turban, sunglasses, and dual pistols fights villains. While the live-action retained timeless popularity, the animation brought "Moonlight Mask" to new generations. Kawauchi himself participated in production. 31 episodes.
