A comedy anime produced by Tokyo Movie, based on the manga by Yasumi Yoshizawa in Weekly Shonen Jump. Middle schooler Hiroshi finds a flat talking frog "Pyonkichi" stuck to his shirt. The duo navigates downtown life with girlfriend Kyoko, rival Goraimo, the bathhouse lady, and Ume-san of the diner, creating laughter and warm human drama. The hit anime was an early successful media mix case for Weekly Shonen Jump. 103 episodes.
