A gag anime produced by Tokyo Movie, the first adaptation of Fujio Akatsuka's "Tensai Bakabon" manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine. Featuring catchphrase-spouting "This is fine!" Bakabon's Papa, son Bakabon, Mama, and genius child Hajime-chan in nonsensical comedy. Iconic recurring characters Rerere-no-Ojisan, Honkan-san, and Eel-Dog also appear. The starting point for a long franchise including Ganso Tensai Bakabon (1975), Heisei Tensai Bakabon (1990), and more. 40 episodes.
