City-raised teacher Dojima arrives in the poor mountain village "Apache Mura" to teach baseball to the wild-child village boys, aiming for Koshien through rough determination. Featuring barefoot players, village customs, and conflicts/reconciliations between teacher and villagers, the series serves as a human drama on urban-rural divides. 26 episodes.
