A comedy anime produced by TCJ Animation Center (later Eiken), based on Suiho Tagawa's manga in Shounen Kurabu. The first TV adaptation of the prewar national favorite "Norakuro." Stray-dog-turned-Private Second-Class Norakuro (real name: Kuroyoshi Norainu) enlists in the Fierce Dog Regiment, blundering through duties while rising through ranks via cheerfulness and determination. The series preserves the prewar military comedy setting while gently reformatting for postwar children. 26 episodes.
