A TV anime produced by Mainichi Broadcasting System and Hoso Doga Seisaku. Based on an original concept by Tsunezo Murotani, this children's sci-fi comedy was broadcast in 26 episodes on the TBS network from April 6 to September 28, 1968. Konno Pyuta (voiced by Makiko Ito), an inventive young boy, assists his grandfather Professor Tsururi (voiced by Keiroku Seki) in creating unique gadgets each episode, while the evil genius scientist Walser VII (voiced by Kyoji Kobayashi) and his henchman Brake (voiced by Takeshi Sagami) scheme to sabotage the inventions. The series is distinguished by its comedic performances - including rakugo storyteller Keiroku Seki and former singer Kyoji Kobayashi in lead roles - and became the effective final production of Hoso Doga Seisaku, an independent studio formed by ex-Toei Doga staff.
