A TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Production. Original work and concept by Tatsuo Yoshida. Broadcast in 52 episodes on the Fuji TV network from May 8, 1965 to April 28, 1966. The debut work of Tatsunoko Production and a monumental work that opened the company's history. Ace (voiced by Kazue Takahashi), a boy from the planet Pulsar who comes to Earth, uses his psychic 'Pentagon Power' and his beloved craft Glitter to confront evil organizations and space monsters in this near-future SF hero action work. Created by Tatsunoko founding members Tatsuo Yoshida (art), Ippei Kuri (concept), and Kenji Yoshida, the work is positioned as the starting point of the Tatsunoko-ism (aspirational hero archetype and high-density mecha expression) lineage leading to Speed Racer, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and Time Bokan.
