Dolphin Oji

A TV anime produced by Tokyo TV Doga. Original concept and story by P Production (Soji Ushio). Broadcast in 3 episodes on the Fuji TV network from April 4 to April 25, 1965 (later re-edited as a TV movie). Prince Dolphin of the undersea kingdom Atlantis joins forces with Earth boy Kenichi to protect the world from the conspiracy of the undersea demon king Ganymede in this maritime fantasy action work. Despite its short pilot-like broadcast, it is historically recorded as an example of Tokyo TV Doga's independent TV anime participation and as a pioneer of the maritime fantasy lineage. The work was also re-edited and released for theaters, and influenced subsequent undersea kingdom dramas such as Triton of the Sea (1972). (C)Tokyo TV Doga / P Production
