In the year 1935 EC, war erupts between the East Europan Imperial Alliance and the Atlantic Federation over the mineral resource Ragnite, engulfing the small neutral nation of Gallia. Welkin Gunther and Alicia Melchiott meet in the border town of Bruhl, vow to return home, and enlist in the militia's Squad 7.
