Yami Shibai Season 16 is the sixteenth season of the horror short anime series produced by ILCA. Since the first season began airing in 2013, this popular series has been a long-running fixture in TV Tokyo's late-night programming block. Using a distinctive visual style of kamishibai (paper theater)-style CG compositing, the show evokes retro horror reminiscent of Showa-era street theater. Each short episode presents urban legends and ghost stories in an omnibus format. The theme for Season 16 revolves around urban legends connected to "bonds." Kanji Tsuda has voiced the kamishibai storyteller throughout the series, continuing his consecutive appearance in this season. Scripts by Hirotake Kumamoto, Mitsuhiro Sasaki, and Kanako Ishigami.
