Fired from the Demon King's Army is a TV anime based on the light novel by Okazawa Rokujushi, serialized on Shosetsuka ni Narou and published by Kodansha under the K Ranobe Books imprint. The manga adaptation by Rurecutte is serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine. The series has surpassed 2 million copies in cumulative circulation (as of November 2024). Animation production is by Encourage Films. Dariel, a dark soldier in the Demon King's army, is suddenly fired for being a demon who cannot use magic. Banished from his homeland, he finds the human village of Rax after rescuing a village girl named Marika. When he attempts adventurer registration and succeeds despite being a demon, an aura only humans can use manifests in his palm.
