Inspired by Shakespeare's history plays "Henry VI" and "Richard III." The series has exceeded 1.8 million copies in circulation (as of October 2021). Set during the Wars of the Roses in medieval England, where the white-rose House of York and red-rose House of Lancaster vie for the throne. Richard, third son of the House of York, harbors a secret—possessing both male and female physical characteristics. Despised as a "devil's child" by his mother Cecily, yet raised with unwavering love by his father Richard, Duke of York. In the forest, Richard encounters Henry VI, head of the House of Lancaster, and the two are drawn to each other. When his brother Edward is betrayed by the Earl of Warwick, Richard rushes to his rescue. His encounter with the Duke of Buckingham further alters his destiny. A dark fantasy depicting the tumultuous life of Richard, cursed by his own body yet drawn into darkness by cruel fate. 24 episodes. Main cast includes Mitsuki Saiga as Richard, Hikaru Midorikawa as Henry, and Tomokazu Sugita as Buckingham.
