A TV anime produced by A.C.G.T, based on the manga by Shinobu Ohtaka, serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine (later transferred to Bessatsu Shonen Magazine), totaling 22 volumes. The same author's "Magi" has achieved over 23 million copies in cumulative circulation. 150 years ago, demons descended upon and took control of "Hinomoto" (Japan). In a world where demon gods are worshipped as deities, young Musashi learns of the "Bushi" warriors who continue fighting demons and sets out from his hometown with childhood friend Kojiro Kanemaki, vowing to form the strongest Bushi band. Along the way, they meet Tsugumi Hattori and together form the "Kanemaki Bushi Band," obtaining the "Obsidian Goddess Sword," the only weapon capable of slaying demons. Set in a neo-Sengoku era, Musashi and his companions take their first steps toward their dream while confronting mighty demon gods. 12 episodes (first cour).
