The Dawn of the Witch

A TV anime produced by Tezuka Productions, based on the light novel by Kakeru Kobashiri published by Kodansha Ranobe Bunko (6 volumes), a new series set in the same world as "Grimoire of Zero." Several years after the war between witches and the church ended, underachieving student Saybil at the Royal Magic Academy of Wenias Kingdom has lost all memories from before enrollment. Under orders from Headmaster Albus, he is sent on special field training to a village in the kingdom's anti-witch southern region. Under the guidance of the "Mud-Darkness Witch" Los Christus, alongside classmates Holt and Kudo, he seeks coexistence between magic and people while confronting the mystery of his lost past. Aired from April to July 2022 (12 episodes). Cast includes Shuichiro Umeda as Saybil, Miho Okasaki as Los, Sayumi Suzushiro as Holt, and Taku Yashiro as Kudo.
