A TV anime produced by Staple Entertainment, based on the manga by Kota Amana (story) and Yoko Umezu (art), serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan. Alto Goldfield, a magic student on the verge of failing at the Royal Ortigia Magic Academy, activates a summoning spell from an old grimoire he stumbles upon to avoid being held back. What appears is Vermeil, the most powerful demon who once terrorized the world. Alto forms a familiar contract with Vermeil, borrowing her immense power to tackle the academy's assignments and trials. Vermeil feeds on Alto's magical energy and demands kisses as payment. 12 episodes. Main cast includes Yuya Hirose as Alto, Maaya Uchida as Vermeil, Wakana Kuramochi as Lilia, Kaori Ishihara as Cheryl, and Kana Hanazawa as Elena.
