A TV anime produced by Yumeta Company × Graphinica, a reboot of the series originally serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi, with concept by Kodansha, scenario by Reiko Yoshida, and manga by Mia Ikumi (formerly Mia Somi). The series has exceeded 1.45 million copies in circulation (as of February 2021). Ordinary middle school girl Ichigo Momomiya is suddenly enveloped in a blinding light during a date with her crush Masaya Aoyama and has Iriomote wildcat genes injected into her. Guided by mysterious scientists Ryo Shirogane and Keiichiro Akasaka, she must fight as "Mew Ichigo" to protect Earth from "Chimera Anima," creatures parasitized by extraterrestrial beings. She eventually meets Mint Aizawa, Lettuce Midorikawa, Pudding Fong, and Zakuro Fujiwara, and as five Mew Mews, they battle the alien Quiche and his forces to protect Earth's future. 12 episodes (Season 1).
