A TV anime produced by Madhouse, based on the light novel by Yui published by Ichijinsha (originating from "Shosetsuka ni Narou"). The series has sold over 3.5 million copies (as of November 2022). Marquess's daughter Elianna, nicknamed "Bibliophile Princess" for her love of reading, receives a nominal engagement from Crown Prince Christopher, gaining access to the royal library. Seeing Christopher friendly with another noblewoman, she assumes she is merely a contractual convenience, but his feelings are actually directed at her.
