A theatrical anime produced by Toei Animation, based on the manga by Akira Toriyama serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, with Toriyama handling original story, screenplay, and character design. Domestic box office of approximately 2.49 billion yen, about 13.8 billion yen worldwide (No.1 US opening). The Red Ribbon Army, once destroyed by Goku, is revived. Androids Gamma 1 and 2, created by genius scientist Dr. Hedo, confront Gohan and Piccolo. With Goku and Vegeta absent, Gohan and Piccolo fight to protect Earth. Directed by Tetsuro Kodama.
