Seventeen-year-old Suzume Iwato, living in a quiet town in Kyushu, meets a young man named Souta Munakata who is "looking for a door." After Souta is transformed into a chair by removing a keystone, Suzume travels across Japan with chair-Souta to close "doors" that bring disaster. Written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Music by RADWIMPS and Kazuma Jinnouchi. Theme song: RADWIMPS "Suzume feat. Toaka." Cast includes Nanoka Hara (Suzume) and Hokuto Matsumura (Souta).
