Odd Taxi: In the Woods

A theatrical anime produced by P.I.C.S. and OLM, based on the 2021 TV anime "Odd Taxi" which aired on TV Tokyo from April to June 2021 and won the New Creator Award at the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival Animation Division. Set in an anthropomorphic world where all characters appear as animals, the film centers on Hiroshi Odokawa (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), a 41-year-old walrus taxi driver. The eccentric loner's passengers include viral-fame-seeking college student Kabasawa (voiced by Riho Iida), secretive nurse Shirakawa (voiced by Suzuko Mimori), failing comedy duo "Homo Sapiens," underworld figure Dobu (voiced by Ryohei Kimura), and idol group "Mystery Kiss" members, all whose stories gradually connect to a missing high school girl case. The film reconstructs the TV series through interview-style format with involved parties, adding a new epilogue depicting events after the finale, totaling 128 minutes. Released April 1, 2022.
