A theatrical anime produced by Telecom Animation Film, based on the manga "Blue Thermal: Aonagi University Aviation Club" by Kana Ozawa, serialized in Shinchōsha's Monthly Comic @Bunch (5 volumes, 2015-2018). Tamaki Tsuru (voiced by Mayu Hotta), a former high school volleyball player, moves from Nagasaki to Tokyo dreaming of a typical college life at Aonagi University. However, she accidentally damages a glider shortly after enrollment and is forced to work as an errand runner for the competitive aviation club to pay for repairs. Despite her frustration, Tamaki becomes captivated by the breathtaking view when she first takes to the skies in a glider piloted by club captain Jun Kuramochi (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki). Training alongside senior member Daisuke Sorachi (voiced by Junya Enoki) and fellow classmates, she forms deep bonds as they work toward the All-Japan Student Glider Competition. The title "Blue Thermal" refers to an invisible thermal updraft without accompanying clouds. Released March 4, 2022, runtime 103 minutes.
