A TV anime produced by OLM, based on the manga by Tomohito Oda serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday, with over 16 million copies in circulation worldwide (as of March 2025). Winner of the 67th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category. Spanning 12 episodes, the series follows Shoko Komi, a stunningly beautiful girl admired by everyone, who harbors a secret: she suffers from extreme communication disorder. On the first day at Itan Private High School, the utterly average classmate Hitohito Tadano discovers Komi's dream to make 100 friends and becomes her first friend, promising to help her achieve that goal. Through interactions with colorful classmates including childhood friend Najimi Osana, the obsessive Ren Yamai, and the chuunibyou Shisuto Naruse, Komi gradually overcomes her communication barriers.
