An original TV anime co-produced by MAPPA and Madhouse, part of the "takt op." multimedia project by Bandai Namco Arts and DeNA. Spanning 12 episodes, the story is set in a world where music has been forbidden after monsters called "D2" emerged from a black meteorite, drawn to music and attacking humanity. The only force capable of fighting D2 are "Musicarts"—girls who embody classical music compositions—and their "Conductors." In 2047, young pianist Takt Asahina becomes a Conductor when his childhood friend Cosette Schneider transforms into the Musicart "Destiny" during a D2 attack. Takt embarks on a journey across America with Cosette's sister Anna, heading to New York to stabilize Destiny's unstable condition.
