Violet Evergarden, who has worked as an "Auto Memory Doll" letter writer to understand the meaning of "I love you," learns that her former commanding officer Major Gilbert Bougainvillea may be alive and embarks on her final journey. The culmination of a story about connecting people's feelings through letters as Violet finds the answer to her own emotions. Box office revenue exceeded 2.13 billion yen. Garnered enormous attention as the first new theatrical work after the 2019 Kyoto Animation arson attack. Directed by Taichi Ishidate, music by Evan Call.
