A TV anime produced by Doga Kobo, based on the manga by Yasuyuki Kosaka serialized in Akita Shoten's Young Champion Retsu. Over 1 million copies in circulation including digital (as of 2021). Indoor-loving high school girl Hina Tsurugi moves from the city to Ashikita, Kumamoto, where she meets senior Yuki Kuroiwa fishing at a breakwater and is semi-forcefully recruited into the "Breakwater Club." As a complete beginner, Hina grows alongside club president Makoto Ohno and childhood friend Natsumi Hodaka, catching various fish like horse mackerel, sand borers, and conger eels. A relaxing fishing anime set against the beautiful Kumamoto coastline. 12 episodes. Initially broadcast April 2020, interrupted due to COVID-19, resuming July. Directed by Takaharu Okuma, music by Miki Sakurai and Hanae Nakamura.
