The Magnificent Kotobuki

A TV anime produced by GEMBA and WAO WORLD. A completely original animation directed by Tsutomu Mizushima with series composition by Michiko Yokote. Set in a world called "Ijitsu" of vast wastelands, the story follows the "Kotobuki Flight Squadron," a group of female mercenary pilots who fly propeller-driven fighter planes. Led by Kirie, the squadron of six including Emma, Kate, Leona, Zara, and Chika protects the cargo airships of Ouni Trading Company from sky pirates using WWII-era Japanese fighter aircraft. The highlight is the spectacular aerial combat scenes rendered in 3DCG. Spanning 12 episodes with music by Shiro Hamaguchi. Main cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Kirie, Eri Yukimura as Emma, Sayaka Nakaya as Kate, Asami Seto as Leona, Hibiku Yamamura as Zara, and Miyu Tomita as Chika. ©The Magnificent Kotobuki Production Committee
