A TV anime produced by TMS Entertainment, based on the manga by Natsuki Takaya serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume, spanning 23 volumes with over 30 million copies in worldwide circulation. Unlike the 2001 version, this is a completely new adaptation with original author Natsuki Takaya serving as overall supervisor. Tohru Honda, a high school girl living alone in a tent after her mother's death, ends up staying at classmate Yuki Soma's house and discovers the Soma family's great secret—they are possessed by the spirits of the Chinese zodiac and transform into animals when embraced by the opposite sex. Touched by Tohru's kindness, Yuki and Kyo Soma gradually open their hearts. Aired on TV Tokyo from April to September 2019 for 25 episodes.
