A TV anime produced by LIDENFILMS, based on the manga by Yoko Tamotsu serialized in KADOKAWA's Monthly Asuka and later Comic Newtype, with over 1.3 million copies in circulation (as of 2021). Arata Miyako, a new civil servant assigned to Shinjuku Ward's Nocturnal Community Relations Division, finds himself working in a special department dealing with supernatural beings called "Another"—yokai, spirits, and gods invisible to ordinary people. Learning from seniors Kyoichi Sakaki and Seo Himezuka, Arata discovers he possesses the rare ability "Ears of Sand" that lets him understand Another's language. As he mediates conflicts between tengu and angels and solves Another-related problems, he becomes entangled with the legendary onmyoji Abe no Seimei. Aired from April to June 2019 for 12 episodes.
