A TV anime produced by Shin-Ei Animation, based on the manga by Soichiro Yamamoto (serialized in Shogakukan's "Gessan"). Middle school student Nishikata is constantly teased by his seatmate Takagi-san. Despite devising various schemes to get back at her, he always ends up being outsmarted. The series is a heartwarming romantic comedy depicting their daily interactions. It aired for 12 episodes and spawned Season 2, Season 3, and a theatrical film.
