A TV anime produced by Diomedea, based on the sci-fi novel by Satoshi Hase (published by KADOKAWA Kadokawa Bunko). Set in a near-future Japan where super-intelligent AI-driven "hIE" androids are commonplace, high school student Arato Endo encounters Lacia, a human-like hIE. Lacia is one of five "Lacia-class" hIEs created by a super-intelligent AI, raising questions about whether "sub-human things" should remain "tools for humans."
