Yuri!!! on Ice is an original TV anime produced by MAPPA, aired from October 2016, with original concept by Mitsurou Kubo. Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki recruits his idol, Russian skater Victor Nikiforov, as his coach and aims to win the Grand Prix Final. Featuring authentic figure skating depictions and portraying skaters' passion and bonds, the series became a worldwide phenomenon. 12 episodes.
