Fafner in the Azure: Exodus is the continuation of the original TV anime Fafner in the Azure series by XEBEC, with its first cour airing from January 2015. This sci-fi mecha action depicts humanity's battle against the unknown life forms "Festum." Young pilots from the isolated island Tatsumiyajima board humanoid weapons called "Fafner" in their fight for survival. Set over a decade after the original series, it portrays the characters' growth and new threats in an epic narrative. Series composition by Tow Ubukata.
