Gintama° is the fourth season of the TV anime based on Hideaki Sorachi's manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, with over 55 million copies in circulation. Aired from April 2015, the sci-fi period comedy is set in an Edo-period Japan invaded by aliens, following Gintoki Sakata and his Odd Jobs companions. The fourth season adapts popular story arcs including "Shogun Assassination" and "Farewell Shinsengumi," featuring serious long-form narratives. Produced by BN Pictures.
