Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Alternative Architecture is a TV anime series based on Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell, aired from April 2015. Produced by Production I.G, it presents the TV remaster of the ARISE series depicting events before the formation of Public Security Section 9 led by Motoko Kusanagi. The series re-edits the four OVA episodes and adds the new episode "Pyrophoric Cult," featuring cybercrime investigations in a near-future society of advanced cyberization.
