Shimoneta is a TV anime based on Hirotaka Akagi's light novel published by Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko, aired from July 2015. Set in a near-future Japan where dirty jokes have been completely banned by the "Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising," the story follows Tanukichi Okuma as he joins terrorist group "SOX" led by Ayame Kajou to fight for the freedom of dirty humor. The series drew attention for its extreme comedy and satirical worldview. Produced by J.C.STAFF.
