Witch Craft Works is a TV anime based on Ryu Mizunagi's manga serialized in Kodansha's good! Afternoon magazine, aired from January 2014. Produced by J.C.Staff, the story follows ordinary high school boy Honoka Takamiya, who discovers he has been secretly protected by the school's madonna Ayaka Kagari. Suddenly thrust into a conflict between witches, the series revolves around the struggle between "Workshop Witches" and "Tower Witches" in this fantasy battle action. The reversed dynamic of an overwhelmingly powerful heroine protecting the protagonist became a talking point. 12 episodes.
