Silver Spoon Season 2 is the second season of the TV anime based on Hiromu Arakawa's manga serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday, with over 15 million copies in circulation. Aired from January 2014, produced by A-1 Pictures, this coming-of-age drama continues the story of Yugo Hachiken at Ooezo Agricultural High School in Hokkaido. Season 2 features his farewell to his pig "Pork Bowl," Aki Mikage's family business issues, and uniquely Hokkaido episodes including ban'ei horse racing. Created by Fullmetal Alchemist author Hiromu Arakawa, drawing on her own farming background.
